Karan Johar is on an endorsement spree. After clothing and coffee ads, he has now signed on as the brand ambassador of a television network – STAR for a big amount.
Says KJo, “I am signed on the high-definition campaign for the Star bouquet of channels. It’s partly because of my association with Koffee With Karan. I have done that chat show for their channel for four years and they wanted a filmmaker to be a part of their TV and technology-based campaign. I am also good friends with Uday and Shankar from the Fox-Star team hence when they asked me, I signed on. I have shot a TV, print and press campaign. I will always be there for this high-definition campaign whenever I am needed.”

Eveready Industries India has signed up Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as its brand ambassador.
The dry cell battery maker’s first major campaign with the slogan Give me Red for its Red series of batteries was launched in the mid-nineties. Previously, the brand also had Amitabh Bachchan as its brand ambassador.

The biggest brand in milk products in Karnataka KMF Nandini has entered in to Chocolates division and caught up with popular actress Ragini as brand ambassador. White Center Éclairs, Nandini Good Life, Nandini Chit Chat and Nandini Cream Bite were the products released by Ragini Dwivedi to the market.
Ogilvy & Mather’s Piyush Pandey has been appointed as the brand ambassador for D&AD White Pencil Award. The new award from D&AD has been announced for an idea that raises awareness or changes behaviour around a pressing social, environmental or health issue. Sir John Hegarty from BBH and Marcello Serpa from Almap BBDO are also among the brand ambassadors for the initiative this year.

He had signed a two-year contract with Malabar Gold, one of the largest retail jewellery groups in South India, as their brand ambassador in the state.

Emami has launched its latest campaign with Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj as its brand ambassador.

Finnair has named internationally acclaimed violinist, Min Lee, as its new brand ambassador in Singapore. Finnair will launch scheduled flights between Singapore and Helsinki on 30 May 2011.

Tata Docomo, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices (TTSL), today appointed Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor as its brand ambassador .
