Trivia
• Adobe is the company which created the PDF format and now owns Macromedia, which created the Flash Player.
• Before founding Adobe Systems, Inc. in 1982, both men worked at the prominent Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) in the late 1970’s. The inspiration to create Adobe came from the research they conducted on device-independent graphic systems and printers.
• In the beginning on 2010, Adobe entered into a major controversy with its long term partner Apple. The  issue was sparked by Apple’s announcement that it would stop using Adobe’s Flash technology in the newer versions of its iPad. Apple blamed the software for most of the crashes and called it ‘buggy’. This resulted in a major war of words between the two giants.
Adobe stopped the funding of iPad applications and joined hands with rivals Google to develop the Android system.
Adobe went so far as to launch an ad campaign criticizing Apple’s decision to stop the usage of Flash.
